[1128] For whomever and wherever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arises, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose faculty arises for them there, but the mind faculty will not arise for them there. For the others, those possessed of a nose (saghānaka), who are being reborn, both the nose faculty arises for them there and the mind faculty will arise.
Or rather, for whomever and wherever the mind faculty will arise, does the nose faculty arise for that one there?
For those passing away from the sense sphere, for those without a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn into the sense sphere, and for those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the mind faculty will arise for them there, but the nose faculty does not arise for them there. For those possessed of a nose who are being reborn, both the mind faculty will arise for them there and the nose faculty arises.
