[1091] For whomever the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arises, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind-faculty (manindriya) arise for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose-faculty arises for them, but the mind-faculty will not arise for them. For the others, possessing a nose (saghānaka), who are being reborn, for them both the nose-faculty arises and the mind-faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever the mind-faculty will arise, does the nose-faculty arise for that one?
For all who are passing away and for those without a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn, the mind-faculty will arise for them, but the nose-faculty does not arise for them. For those possessing a nose who are being reborn, for them both the mind-faculty will arise and the nose-faculty arises.
