[1124] For whomever, wherever, the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arises, will the life-faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose-faculty arises for them there, but the life-faculty will not arise for them there. For the others, possessed of a nose (saghānaka), who are being reborn, the nose-faculty arises for them there and the life-faculty will arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the life-faculty will arise, does the nose-faculty arise for that one there?
For all who are passing away (cavanta) and for those without a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn, the life-faculty will arise for them there, but the nose-faculty does not arise for them there. For those possessed of a nose who are being reborn, the life-faculty will arise for them there and the nose-faculty arises.
