Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1087

[1087] For whomever the nose-faculty (ghānindriya) arises, will the life-faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one? For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose-faculty arises, but the life-faculty will not arise for them; for the others, possessing a nose (saghānaka), who are being reborn, both the nose-faculty arises for them and the life-faculty will arise. Or rather, for whomever the life-faculty will arise, does the nose-faculty arise for that one? For all who are passing away and for those without a nose (aghānaka) who are being reborn, the life-faculty will arise, but the nose-faculty does not arise for them; for those possessing a nose who are being reborn, both the life-faculty will arise for them and the nose-faculty arises.
