[1086] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arises, will the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) arise for that one?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara); for those who, having been reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna); and for those women who, in that very same state, will attain final Nibbāna after manifesting some number of existences — for these, as they are being reborn, the nose faculty arises, but the masculinity faculty will not arise for them. For the others possessing a nose who are being reborn, the nose faculty arises and the masculinity faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever the masculinity faculty will arise, does the nose faculty arise for that one?
For all who are passing away, and for those without a nose who are being reborn, the masculinity faculty will arise, but the nose faculty does not arise for them. For those possessing a nose who are being reborn, the masculinity faculty will arise and the nose faculty arises.
