[1114] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arises, will the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), and for those being reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the eye faculty arises for them there, but the nose faculty will not arise for them there. For the others, possessed of eyes, who are being reborn in the sense sphere, both the eye faculty arises for them there and the nose faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever, wherever, the nose faculty will arise, does the eye faculty arise for that one there?
For those passing away from the sense sphere, and for those without eyes who are being reborn in the sense sphere, the nose faculty will arise for them there, but the eye faculty does not arise for them there. For those possessed of eyes who are being reborn in the sense sphere, both the nose faculty will arise for them there and the eye faculty arises.
