[1090] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arises, will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) arise for that one? — For beings in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn into the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), the nose faculty arises, but the faith faculty will not arise for them; for the others possessing a nose who are being reborn, the nose faculty arises and the faith faculty will arise.
Or, for whomever the faith faculty will arise, does the nose faculty arise for that one? — For all who are passing away, and for those without a nose who are being reborn, the faith faculty will arise, but the nose faculty does not arise for them; for those possessing a nose who are being reborn, the faith faculty will arise and the nose faculty arises.
