[1054] For whomever, wherever, the femininity faculty (itthindriya) arises, did the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) arise for that one there? Yes. Or alternatively, for whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty arose, does the femininity faculty arise for that one there? For those passing away from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for those who are not women being reborn into the sense sphere, for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), and for beings of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): for them there the equanimity faculty arose, but the femininity faculty does not arise for them there. For women who are being reborn: for them there both the equanimity faculty arose and the femininity faculty arises.
