[1131] For whomever, wherever, the femininity faculty (itthindriya) arises, will the joy faculty (somanassindriya) arise for that one there?
For females in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) who are being reborn, and for those females who, having been reborn with equanimity (upekkhā), will attain final Nibbāna — for these, as they are being reborn — the femininity faculty arises for them there, but the joy faculty will not arise for them there. For the other females who are being reborn, the femininity faculty arises for them there, and the joy faculty will arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty will arise, does the femininity faculty arise for that one there?
For those passing away from the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), for non-females being reborn into the sense sphere, and for beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara), the joy faculty will arise for them there, but the femininity faculty does not arise for them there. For females who are being reborn, the joy faculty will arise for them there, and the femininity faculty arises.
