[1261] "For whom, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) arose — will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one there?"
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra), the eye faculty arose for them there, but the life faculty will not arise for them there. For the other five-constituent beings, both the eye faculty arose for them there and the life faculty will arise.
"Or rather, for whom, wherever, the life faculty will arise — did the eye faculty arise for that one there?"
For the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) and the formless beings (arūpā), the life faculty will arise for them there, but the eye faculty did not arise for them there. For the five-constituent beings, both the life faculty will arise for them there and the eye faculty arose.
