[1305] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) did not arise, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) not arise for that one there?
For non-percipient beings (asaññasattā) and formless beings (arūpā): for them there the eye faculty did not arise, but it is not the case that the life faculty will not arise for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) and for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the formless [plane]: for them there both the eye faculty did not arise and the life faculty will not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the life faculty will not arise, did the eye faculty not arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence in the five-constituent [plane] (pañcavokāra): for them there the life faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the eye faculty did not arise for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes and for those in their final existence in the formless [plane]: for them there both the life faculty will not arise and the eye faculty did not arise.
