[987] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) will not arise, will the faith faculty (saddhindriya) … the wisdom faculty (paññindriya), the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise for that one there?
For the formless beings (arūpa), the eye faculty will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the mind faculty will not arise for them there. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) and for the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), for them there both the eye faculty will not arise and the mind faculty will not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty will not arise, will the eye faculty not arise for that one there?
Yes (āmantā).
