[1309] For whomever, wherever, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) has never arisen, will the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) … the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise for that one there?
For beings of the immaterial planes (arūpa), the eye faculty has never arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the mind faculty will not arise for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa), for final-existence beings (pacchimabhavika) in the immaterial planes, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the eye faculty has never arisen for them there and the mind faculty will not arise.
Or else, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty will not arise, has the eye faculty never arisen for that one there?
For final-existence beings in the five-constituent existence (pañcavokāra), the mind faculty will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the eye faculty has never arisen for them there. For beings of the Pure Abodes, for final-existence beings in the immaterial planes, and for non-percipient beings, the mind faculty will not arise for them there and the eye faculty has never arisen.
