[1312] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriya) has not arisen, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) not arise for that one there?
For beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): the nose faculty has not arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the life faculty will not arise for them there. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere and in the formless sphere: for them there, both the nose faculty has not arisen and the life faculty will not arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the life faculty will not arise, has the nose faculty not arisen for that one there?
For those in their final existence in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): the life faculty will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the nose faculty has not arisen for them there. For those in their final existence in the form sphere and in the formless sphere: for them there, both the life faculty will not arise and the nose faculty has not arisen.
