Cakkhundarīya

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1314

[1314] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriya) has not arisen, will the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) not arise for that one there? For beings of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): the nose faculty has not arisen for them there, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty will not arise for them there. For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the form sphere or the formless sphere, and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta): the nose faculty has not arisen for them there, and the equanimity faculty will not arise. Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the equanimity faculty will not arise, has the nose faculty not arisen for that one there? For those in their final existence in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara), and for those possessed of a nose (saghānaka) who, having been reborn with joy (somanassa), will attain final Nibbāna: the equanimity faculty will not arise for them there, but it is not the case that the nose faculty has not arisen for them there. For those in their final existence in the form sphere or the formless sphere, and for non-percipient beings: the equanimity faculty will not arise for them there, and the nose faculty has not arisen.
