Pariññāvāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 1443

[1443] One who has developed the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty (anaññātaññassāmītindriya) — will he realize the perfect-knower faculty (aññātāvindriya)? The Arahant has developed the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty, but he will not realize the perfect-knower faculty. Six persons have both developed the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty and will realize the perfect-knower faculty. Or rather, one who will realize the perfect-knower faculty — has he developed the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty? Two persons will realize the perfect-knower faculty, but they have not developed the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty. Six persons will both realize the perfect-knower faculty and have developed the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty.
