[1452] Whoever did not develop the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty (anaññātaññassāmītindriya), will that one not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty (aññindriya)?
Two persons (puggalā) did not develop the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty, yet it is not the case that they will not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty. Those ordinary persons (puthujjanā) who will not obtain the path (magga) — they both did not develop the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty and will not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty.
Or else, whoever will not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty, did that one not develop the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty?
Two persons will not develop the perfect-knowledge faculty, yet it is not the case that they did not develop the 'I shall come to know the unknown' faculty.
