[448] Is what is not faith (saddhā) not a faculty (indriya)? Setting aside faith, the remaining faculties are not faith, but are faculties; setting aside faith and the faculties, the rest are neither faith nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the faith faculty (saddhindriya)? Yes. Is what is not energy (viriya) not a faculty? Setting aside energy, the remaining faculties are not energy, but are faculties; setting aside energy and the faculties, the rest are neither energy nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the energy faculty (viriyindriya)? Yes. Is what is not mindfulness (sati) not a faculty? Setting aside mindfulness, the remaining faculties are not mindfulness, but are faculties; setting aside mindfulness and the faculties, the rest are neither mindfulness nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the mindfulness faculty (satindriya)? Yes. Is what is not concentration (samādhi) not a faculty? Setting aside concentration, the remaining faculties are not concentration, but are faculties; setting aside concentration and the faculties, the rest are neither concentration nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the concentration faculty (samādhindriya)? Yes. Is what is not wisdom (paññā) not a faculty? Setting aside wisdom, the remaining faculties are not wisdom, but are faculties; setting aside wisdom and the faculties, the rest are neither wisdom nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the wisdom faculty (paññindriya)? Yes.
