[48] For whomever the mind (citta) ceases, has that one's mind ceased?
Yes.
Or, for whomever the mind has ceased, does that one's mind cease?
For those at the moment of the arising of mind, for those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna), and for non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): their mind has ceased, but their mind does not cease. For those at the moment of the dissolution of mind: their mind both has ceased and ceases.
For whomever the mind does not cease, has that one's mind not ceased?
It has ceased.
Or, for whomever the mind has not ceased, does that one's mind not cease?
There is none.
For whomever the mind ceases, will that one's mind cease?
For those at the moment of the dissolution of the final mind (pacchimacitta): their mind ceases, but their mind will not cease. For the others, at the moment of the dissolution of mind: their mind both ceases and will cease.
