[487] Is what is not one who has fully known (aññātāvī) not a faculty (indriya)? Setting aside the one who has fully known, the remaining faculties are not one who has fully known [but] are faculties. Setting aside the one who has fully known and the faculties, the rest are neither one who has fully known nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the eye faculty (cakkhundriya)? Yes. … Is what is not one who has fully known not a faculty? Setting aside the one who has fully known, the remaining faculties are not one who has fully known [but] are faculties. Setting aside the one who has fully known and the faculties, the rest are neither one who has fully known nor faculties. Is what is not a faculty not the faculty of final knowledge (aññindriya)? Yes.
