[50] "For whomever mind (citta) arises, does that one's mind not cease?"
"Yes."
"Or rather, for whomever mind does not cease, does that one's mind arise?"
"For those who have attained cessation (nirodhasamāpanna) and for non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), their mind does not cease, but their mind does not arise. At the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) of mind, their mind both does not cease and arises."
"For whomever mind does not arise, does that one's mind cease?"
"For those who have attained cessation and for non-percipient beings, their mind does not arise, but their mind does not cease. At the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) of mind, their mind both does not arise and ceases."
"Or rather, for whomever mind ceases, does that one's mind not arise?"
"Yes."
