[523] For whomever the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arises, does the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for him?
For those without mind (acittaka) who are being reborn, the life faculty arises for them, but the mind faculty does not arise for them. For those with mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn, and at the moment of the arising of mind (citta) in the course of existence (pavatta), for them both the life faculty arises and the mind faculty arises.
Or, for whomever the mind faculty arises, does the life faculty arise for him?
