[533] For whomever the wisdom faculty (paññindriya) arises, does the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one?
Yes.
Or rather, for whomever the mind faculty arises, does the wisdom faculty arise for that one?
For those with mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn dissociated from knowledge (ñāṇa), and, in the course of existence (pavatti), at the moment of arising of a mind (citta) dissociated from knowledge, the mind faculty arises for them, but the wisdom faculty does not arise for them. For those who are being reborn associated with knowledge, and, in the course of existence, at the moment of arising of a mind associated with knowledge, for them both the mind faculty arises and the wisdom faculty arises.
