[593] For whomever, wherever, the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arises, does the mind faculty (manindriya) arise for that one there?
For those without mind (acittaka) who are being reborn, the life faculty arises for them there, but the mind faculty does not arise for them there. For those with mind (sacittaka) who are being reborn, and, in the course of existence (pavatta), at the moment of the arising of mind (citta), for them there both the life faculty arises and the mind faculty arises.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the mind faculty arises, does the life faculty arise for that one there?
Yes (āmantā).
