Nidadesahaṅadhaṁvāra

Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 63

[63] Whatever mind (citta) arises, has that mind ceased? No. Or, whatever mind has ceased, does that mind arise? No. Whatever mind does not arise, has that mind not ceased? Past mind does not arise, but it is not the case that that mind has not ceased. Mind at the moment of dissolution (bhaṅgakkhaṇa) and future mind neither arise nor have ceased. Or, whatever mind has not ceased, does that mind not arise? Mind at the moment of arising (uppādakkhaṇa) has not ceased, but it is not the case that that mind does not arise. Mind at the moment of dissolution and future mind neither have ceased nor arise. Whatever mind arises, will that mind cease? Yes. Or, whatever mind will cease, does that mind arise? Future mind will cease, but it is not the case that that mind arises. Mind at the moment of arising both will cease and arises. Whatever mind does not arise, will that mind not cease? Future mind does not arise, but it is not the case that that mind will not cease. Mind at the moment of dissolution and past mind neither arise nor will cease. Or, whatever mind will not cease, does that mind not arise? Yes. Whatever mind has arisen, will that mind cease? No. Or, whatever mind will cease, has that mind arisen? No. Whatever mind has not arisen, will that mind not cease? Mind at the moment of arising and future mind have not arisen, but it is not the case that that mind will not cease. Mind at the moment of dissolution neither has arisen nor will cease. Or, whatever mind will not cease, has that mind not arisen? Past mind will not cease, but it is not the case that that mind has not arisen. Mind at the moment of dissolution neither will cease nor has arisen.
