[656] Where the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) does not arise, does the faith faculty (saddhindriya) … the wisdom faculty (paññindriya), the mind faculty (manindriya) not arise there?
In the formless [plane] (arūpe), there the eye faculty does not arise, but it is not the case that the mind faculty does not arise there. In [the plane of] non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), there both the eye faculty does not arise and the mind faculty does not arise.
Or rather, where the mind faculty does not arise, does the eye faculty not arise there?
Yes (āmantā).
