Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 771

[771] For whomever, wherever, the life faculty (jīvitindriyaṃ) arose, did the joy faculty (somanassindriyaṃ) arise for that one there? For the beings of the Pure Abodes (suddhāvāsa) while the second mind (citta) is occurring, and for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā): the life faculty arose for them there, but the joy faculty did not arise for them there. For the others — the four-constituent beings (catuvokārā) and the five-constituent beings (pañcavokārā) — both the life faculty arose and the joy faculty arose for them there. Or, for whomever, wherever, the joy faculty arose, did the life faculty arise for that one there? Yes.
