[799] Where the nose faculty (ghānindriya) has never arisen, has the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) never arisen there?
In the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the nose faculty has never arisen there, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty has never arisen there. Among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), both the nose faculty has never arisen there and the equanimity faculty has never arisen there.
Or rather, where the equanimity faculty has never arisen, has the nose faculty never arisen there?
Yes (āmantā).
