[660] Where the nose faculty (ghānindriya) does not arise, does the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) not arise there?
In the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the nose faculty does not arise there, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty does not arise there. Among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the nose faculty does not arise there and the equanimity faculty does not arise.
Or rather, where the equanimity faculty does not arise, does the nose faculty not arise there?
