[972] Where the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) will not arise, will the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) not arise there?
In the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the masculinity faculty will not arise there, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty will not arise there. Among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), both the masculinity faculty will not arise there and the equanimity faculty will not arise.
Or rather, where the equanimity faculty will not arise, will the masculinity faculty not arise there?
