[665] Where the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) does not arise, does the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) not arise there?
In the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and in the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), the masculinity faculty does not arise there, but it is not the case that the equanimity faculty does not arise there. Among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), there the masculinity faculty does not arise and the equanimity faculty does not arise.
Or rather, where the equanimity faculty does not arise, does the masculinity faculty not arise there?
