[847] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) will arise, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one?
Yes.
Or rather, for whomever the life faculty will arise, will the nose faculty arise for that one?
For those who, having been reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāna), the life faculty will arise, but the nose faculty will not arise for them; for the others, both the life faculty will arise and the nose faculty will arise.
