Abhidhammapiṭaka · Yamaka (2) · Vol. 39 · Section 848

[848] For whomever the nose faculty (ghānindriya) will arise, will the joy faculty (somanassindriya) arise for him? Those possessed of a nose (saghānaka) who, having been reborn with equanimity (upekkhā), will attain final Nibbāna: for them the nose faculty will arise, but the joy faculty will not arise for them. For the others, both the nose faculty will arise and the joy faculty will arise. Or else, for whomever the joy faculty will arise, will the nose faculty arise for him? Those who, having been reborn in the form sphere (rūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna: for them the joy faculty will arise, but the nose faculty will not arise for them. For the others, both the joy faculty will arise and the nose faculty will arise.
