[889] Where the life faculty (jīvitindriya) will arise, will the joy faculty (somanassindriya) arise there?
Among the non-percipient beings (asaññasatta), the life faculty will arise there, but the joy faculty will not arise there. In the four-constituent (catuvokāra) and the five-constituent (pañcavokāra) [planes], there both the life faculty will arise and the joy faculty will arise.
Or else, where the joy faculty will arise, will the life faculty arise there?
Yes (āmantā).
