[940] For whom the femininity faculty (itthindriya) will not arise, will the masculinity faculty (purisindriya) not arise for that one?
Those males who, having manifested some number of existences (bhava) in that very same state (bhāva), will attain final Nibbāna (parinibbāyissanti): for them the femininity faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the masculinity faculty will not arise for them. As for those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika), and those who, having been reborn into the form sphere (rūpāvacara) or the formless sphere (arūpāvacara), will attain final Nibbāna: for them both the femininity faculty will not arise and the masculinity faculty will not arise.
Or, for whom the masculinity faculty will not arise, will the femininity faculty not arise for that one?
Those females who, having manifested some number of existences in that very same state, will attain final Nibbāna: for them the masculinity faculty will not arise, but it is not the case that the femininity faculty will not arise for them. As for those in their final existence, and those who, having been reborn into the form sphere or the formless sphere, will attain final Nibbāna: for them both the masculinity faculty will not arise and the femininity faculty will not arise.
