[1443] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya), there arises a phenomenon that is clung to and subject to clinging, not by nutriment condition (na-āhārapaccayā): for the non-percipient beings (asaññasattā), dependent on one primary element (mahābhūta). Dependent on a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya), there arises a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging, not by nutriment condition: external (bāhira) … dependent on one temperature-originated (utusamuṭṭhāna) primary element.
