[1495] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not clung-to but subject to clinging is a condition for a phenomenon that is not clung-to but subject to clinging by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya). Each preceding set of aggregates that are not clung-to but subject to clinging is a condition for each succeeding set of aggregates that are not clung-to but subject to clinging by immediacy condition. Conformity (anuloma) is a condition for change-of-lineage (gotrabhū); conformity, for cleansing (vodāna). Adverting (āvajjanā) is a condition for the aggregates that are not clung-to but subject to clinging by immediacy condition.
