[1528] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not clung-to and not subject to clinging is a condition for a phenomenon that is not clung-to but subject to clinging by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: The noble ones (ariyā), depending on the path (magga), produce an attainment (samāpatti) that has not yet arisen, enter upon an attainment that has arisen, and see with insight conditioned things (saṅkhārā) as impermanent, as suffering (dukkha), as not-self. The path is a condition, by way of decisive-support condition, for the noble ones' discrimination of meanings (attha-paṭisambhidā), discrimination of ideas (dhamma-paṭisambhidā), discrimination of language (nirutti-paṭisambhidā), discrimination of sagacity (paṭibhāṇa-paṭisambhidā), and skill in what is possible and what is impossible (ṭhānāṭhāna-kosalla).
