[1714] A phenomenon (dhamma) fixed in rightness (sammattaniyata) is a condition for an unfixed (aniyata) phenomenon by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
Object decisive-support (ārammaṇūpanissaya), proximity decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: The noble ones (ariyā), in dependence on the path (magga), give rise to an attainment (samāpatti) not yet arisen, enter upon one that has arisen, and see conditioned things (saṅkhāra) with insight as impermanent (anicca), as suffering (dukkha), as non-self (anattā).
The path is a condition, by decisive-support condition, for the noble ones' discrimination of meanings (attha-paṭisambhidā) … for skill in what is possible and impossible (ṭhānāṭhāna-kosalla). The path is a condition for the attainment of fruition (phala-samāpatti) by decisive-support condition.
