[1628] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya), a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya), and a phenomenon that is neither clung to nor subject to clinging (anupādinnānupādāniya) are a condition for a phenomenon that is clung to and subject to clinging by presence condition (atthi-paccaya): postnascence (pacchājāta), nutriment (āhāra), faculty (indriya).
Postnascent: the aggregates (khandhā) that are neither clung to nor subject to clinging, and the edible nutriment (kabaḷīkārāhāra) that is not clung to but subject to clinging, and the material life-faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya), are a condition for the kinds of kamma-born matter (kaṭattārūpa) by presence condition.
