[1639] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is not clung to but subject to clinging (anupādinnupādāniya) is a condition, by postnascence condition (pacchājāta-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is clung to and subject to clinging (upādinnupādāniya) and for a phenomenon that is not clung to but subject to clinging. … is a condition by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya).
