[1689] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is defiled and subject to defilement (saṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) is a condition, by immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is defiled and subject to defilement. Each preceding set of aggregates (khandhā) that are defiled and subject to defilement is a condition, by immediacy condition, for each succeeding set of aggregates that are defiled and subject to defilement.
