[1739] A phenomenon (dhamma) that is undefiled but subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-saṅkilesika) is a condition, by presence condition (atthi-paccaya), for a phenomenon that is undefiled and not subject to defilement (asaṅkiliṭṭha-asaṅkilesika). Prenascence (purejāta): the base (vatthu) is a condition, by presence condition, for the aggregates (khandhā) that are undefiled and not subject to defilement.
