[385] Dependent on an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon (dhamma), an unwholesome phenomenon arises by non-root condition (na-hetu-paccaya): dependent on the aggregates (khandha) accompanied by doubt (vicikicchā), accompanied by restlessness (uddhacca), there arises delusion (moha) accompanied by doubt, accompanied by restlessness.
Dependent on an indeterminate (abyākata) phenomenon, an indeterminate phenomenon arises by non-root condition: dependent on one rootless (ahetuka) resultant-indeterminate (vipākābyākata), functional-indeterminate (kiriyābyākata) aggregate, there arise three aggregates and mind-originated materiality (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa); dependent on three aggregates, one aggregate and mind-originated materiality; dependent on two aggregates, two aggregates and mind-originated materiality.
