[557] An indeterminate phenomenon (abyākata dhamma) is a condition for a wholesome phenomenon (kusala dhamma) by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya): object-prenascence (ārammaṇa-purejāta) and base-prenascence (vatthu-purejāta).
Object-prenascence: trainees (sekkhā) or worldlings (puthujjanā) contemplate with insight the eye as impermanent (anicca), as suffering (dukkha), as not-self (anattā); the ear … the nose, the tongue, the body, forms, sounds, odours, tastes, tangible objects … they contemplate with insight the base (vatthu) as impermanent, as suffering, as not-self. They see form with the divine eye (dibbacakkhu); they hear sound with the divine ear element (dibbā sotadhātu).
Base-prenascence: the base is a condition for the wholesome aggregates (khandhā) by prenascence condition.
