[126] A phenomenon (dhamma) without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought (avitakka-vicāramatta), is a condition, by way of root condition (hetu-paccaya), for a phenomenon without thought-conception and without discursive thought (avitakka-avicāra).
Roots that are without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, are a condition, by way of root condition, for discursive thought (vicāra) and for forms originated by mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa).
At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi), roots that are without thought-conception, with mere discursive thought, are a condition, by way of root condition, for discursive thought and for kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa).
