Abhidhammapiṭaka · Paṭṭhāna (2) · Vol. 41 · Section 1906

[1906] An arisen phenomenon (uppanna dhamma) is a condition for an arisen phenomenon by faculty condition (indriya-paccaya): The arisen faculties (indriya) are a condition for the associated aggregates (khandha) and for mind-originated forms (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) by faculty condition. At the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), the body faculty (kāyindriya) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa), and the material life faculty (rūpajīvitindriya) is a condition for kamma-born forms (kaṭattā-rūpa), by faculty condition.
