[314] A mundane (lokiya) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition (paccaya) for a mundane phenomenon by faculty condition (indriya-paccaya): rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi) should be supplied. The eye faculty (cakkhundriya) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), and the body faculty (kāyindriya) is a condition for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa), by faculty condition; the material life faculty (rūpajīvitindriya) is a condition for the kinds of matter produced by kamma (kaṭattārūpa) by faculty condition.
A supramundane (lokuttara) phenomenon is a condition for a supramundane phenomenon by faculty condition: three (cases).
