[181] A phenomenon (dhamma) originated from mind (cittasamuṭṭhāna) is a condition for a phenomenon originated from mind by faculty condition (indriya-paccaya): three.
A phenomenon not originated from mind is a condition for a phenomenon not originated from mind by faculty condition: at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhikkhaṇa), the faculties (indriya) not originated from mind are a condition for kamma-born materiality (kaṭattārūpa) by faculty condition; at the moment of rebirth-linking, the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) is a condition for eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa), the body faculty (kāyindriya) for body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa), and the material life faculty (rūpajīvitindriya) is a condition for kamma-born materiality by faculty condition.
