[144] A phenomenon (dhamma) associated with mind (citta) is a condition, by faculty condition (indriya-paccaya), for a phenomenon associated with mind: three. A phenomenon dissociated from mind is a condition, by faculty condition, for a phenomenon dissociated from mind: the material life faculty (rūpa-jīvitindriya) is a condition, by faculty condition, for the kinds of matter born of kamma (kaṭattārūpa). A phenomenon dissociated from mind is a condition, by faculty condition, for a phenomenon associated with mind: the eye faculty (cakkhundriya) is a condition, by faculty condition, for the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by eye-consciousness (cakkhuviññāṇa); the body faculty (kāyindriya) … A phenomenon associated with mind and a phenomenon dissociated from mind are a condition, by faculty condition, for a phenomenon associated with mind: the eye faculty and the equanimity faculty (upekkhindriya) are a condition, by faculty condition, for the aggregates accompanied by eye-consciousness; the body faculty and the bodily-pleasure faculty (sukhindriya), and the body faculty and the bodily-pain faculty (dukkhindriya), are a condition, by faculty condition, for the aggregates accompanied by body-consciousness (kāyaviññāṇa). It is a condition by absorption condition (jhāna-paccaya): three. It is a condition by path condition (magga-paccaya): three. It is a condition by association condition (sampayutta-paccaya): one.
